When Margaret made it back to her tent she leaned against the door while her sobbing took over, she didn't know what to do, she wasn't ready for this....How? How could she let herself get into this much trouble? She was in deep and there was nothing to get her out of it now. All she could do was cry about it, and wish that it hadn't happened, even though she was glad that it had...It was a confusing situation she had gotten herself into. When the tears let up just a little she went over and laid down on her cot, and she remembered last night, how he had comforted her...She wanted to believe he had meant it, every word...and for the most part she did, but it wasn't working out for her, now this was real...and she just couldn't believe that she was having a baby...let alone in the predicament she was in...How...how?
Her thoughts were interrupted bya knock on her door and the voice of the man she'd been dreading to hear, or see, "Margaret? It's me...are you okay?"
She took a deep breath in and debated on whether or not to answer him...once she decided she spoke, "I'm fine, Captain."

"Well uh...can I come in? I need to tell you somthing."
Margaret sighed. She didn't know if he should come in or not. She didn't want him seeing her like this, her face tear stained and red from the crying... She rolled over onto her stomach and buried her face in the pillow, trying to decide. She lifted her head, "Come in..."
"Thanks." He stepped inside and knelt down by the bed, lifting her hair up to see her face. "Margaret..." His eyes were brimming over with concern.
"What?" She asked, sniffling and trying to hold back more tears. The mother-to-be sat up and dabbed away at her eyes with a couple tissues before Hawkeye continued.
"Major, I'd just like to apologize..." He brought her desk chair over and sat in front of her, holding her soft hands in his.
"For what?" She asked, a little confused.
"For what! For everything that's going on! Margaret, I'm the one that did this to you! If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't be crying right now and wouldn't have this big burden on your shoulders....or, inside of you...or...you know what I mean." He started out with his voice raised, but by the time he was done ranting, he was out of his chair and in the corner of the tent facing away from Margaret, voice becoming weaker.
"How can you blame all of this on yourself, Hawkeye?" Margaret got up and stood behind him, her voice quiet. "It does take two to tango, you know...?" She chuckled a little. When he turned around slowly, she continued, "Ben, you know what I said to you yesterday....I really do love you and I'm not blaming this on you. We were scared out there and we just...fell into eachother's arms as it were and closed ranks and all." The beautiful blonde sighed, "Maybe...somehow...we can convince Colonel Potter to let me stay. I really don't want to leave and, more importantly, I don't want to leave you..." She stepped a little closer to the man and he pulled her in for a hug. He could hear her crying on his shoulder.
"I promise you that everything will be okay..." Hawkeye rubbed her back soothingly. His touch seemed to work and her tears slowly started to go away.
